"In my childhood years, I always wanted to study martial arts. I watched classes take place as my mother did aerobics next door. I took a self defense class, and really can only recall learning moves and not understanding the reasoning behind it. In 2004, I was held up at gun point at work. Things happened so fast, that my mind could not keep up with what was going on. I tried to think of ways to get out of the situation but failed. After a few weeks of mental recovery, I knew that I needed to get into a martial arts school. Not only did I need to defend myself, I soon would have a family that I would need to keep safe. In 2011, my neighbor asked if I wanted to take martial arts with her. I immediately said yes and we began taking classes at Tiger Society. I knew with my past experience with martial arts, I didn't want to just go through the motions, but to understand why. Sensei Bryan and Sensei Donnie not only teach you the motions but explain the reasoning behind it. You'll soon realize that you are able to recall things in dangerous situations. As a mother of four, I pride myself in joining this school. I love taking what I have learned, as well as experience, and being able to give it back to this school. This school is not only for young children, but for all ages. This school has many things to offer, I highly recommend this school. Not just for the Shotokan, but the Shinsei Hapkido, Seito-Ryu Iai-do, Pambuan Arnis, and Combat Kuntao. There is something out there for everyone!"
